Oct. Full Moon..HEADACHE MOON!

October's full moon is an absolute rediculous time on the St. Johns River. The falling tide is so raging you can't even anchor at mid-tide.

They call it the "Hunters moon", the "Harvest moon", i call it the "HEADACHE moon."

It took a 1/2 a day for the tide to get fishable. We departed at 10:30am on Thursday, and then 11:00am on Friday (17th & 18th)

When it got right the BIG REDBASS (Redfish-Red Drum) were chewin and we used very light tackle. And Live Croakers or Cut Croakers for bait. Croakers are a little cousin to the Redbass and are carpeting the bottom of the inlet and the river. They spawn the same time as the Redbass.

So right now, "love is in the water" for both, making them easier to catch.
