The old boat: 24 Alaskan searunner

I had a hewescraft Alaskan searunner for 5 seasons before I started the build on my glaciercraft. It was a great fishing platform. It held 160 gallons, cruised at 30 knots, heated, and had a decent stereo. Good times. I miss that boat!

Hmm,

Well, what can we say?

Your new boat sure looks to be a subsantial upgrade thats for sure.

Looks like you may have run outa room, huh?

I'm sure the Alaskan fit the bill for someone else.

You got that right, Jettywolf. iIt was a great boat. Lots of life left in her. we sure put a lot of fish, shrimp, and bears on that deck. It will be nice having the comfort in the new one with the family. I just checked on the status on my motors and they should be here in a couple of weeks. I wonder what the launch looks like?:D

Probably pretty icey huh?
Will you be doing much trailering of the new boat. Or is it in for the season and then out on the trailer for deep winter?

Because that's a big'un to tow around.

It will be towed down in the spring and back once winter rolls around. It is a pretty flat run. No worries.

Yeah, I'd see that could be a concern, since in one of those photo's ya posted the "green" seems to go VERY verticle in tha background.

Man, would I like to spend some time there some day.

We call fishing "the bluff" a spot along the river here that may have a 60 foot high bank. Other than the land fill it's the highest point in the whole county. And the county is HUGE!
