Everything is in place!
Class V hitch and ball- check!
Transmission cooler- check!
Wide load permit- check!
Insurance- check!
Delivery from VI to Port Angeles scheduled for noon on 16DEC- check!
BILL OF SALE- CHECK!
The M/V Diversion is finally ours! Talk about an awesome Christmas present! There is no way we could have made this decision without the input from so many of you. There was a point, when we thought this would never go through, then it seemed like the stars aligned, and everything fell into place. The only downside? It is going to be late January before I can get pics of her on the water. That will give us time to buy all the safety equipment we need, though! Now...where to dive/fish first...

Very, very cool! Are you actually going to be state side for the delivery? I look forward to seeing pictures of you putting it to use. Congratulations!

Totally WAY COOL, congrats ALLOY K9.
If that is your Truck in the picture [ I see the lot is NOT level ] make sure your Trailer is sitting LEVEL while at rest when hooked to the truck or you will eat tires not to mention your towing experience will be a whole lot better.

I'm glad it all worked out. A boat that nice needs to be pressed into service. I think you'll be very happy.

Re: Everything is in place!
Spoiled one- unfortunately no. I won't get home till late January. Anne is going to pick it up, and bring it home next Thursday. I am hoping she brings the camera when she does!
Welder- No, that's not my truck. That's a Dodge Dakota the boat broker used to pull her out of the storage tent. My truck is a GMC 2500HD with the Duramax/Allison powertrain, and she is set up for heavy towing. Hopefully we will have pics of both here next week!
SLD, Louie, Illgotoo! Thanks guys! This is going to be the longest 40 days of my life!

Congrats......but let me ask one thing.
Is my boat a M/V, or do I have to be "fort" equiped?

Re: Everything is in place!
Hey Jetty, long time no hear from! If my understanding is correct, only boats that are CG documented have that type of vessel designator. In order to be documented, a vessel has to be a minimum of 5 net tons. On the application for documentation, you are supposed to check what the vessels purpose is; Fishing (F/V), recreational (M/V), passenger ferry, (M/F), etc. So no, it doesn't have to have a "fort". But we can put an F/V in front of your boat if you'd like! I don't think anyone would argue!JETTYWOLF wrote:Congrats......but let me ask one thing.

Again Congratulations Jamie!
37 days left and counting. You should be home for the boat show at the end of the month of Jan in Seattle. We will have a meet and Greet for it Like we had last year but with the added benefit to welcome you home

The man's right. No documentation no MV status.
I'll continue being the BLM "Florida Edition".
Good luck with the new "fort".
