I cant see a problem with the joins in the side sheets, and it would not effect any survey requirements.
That boat is over 10.5m long making the side sheet almost 11m, 12m sheet are almost impossible to get in AU and would normally require a mill run to obtain them.
Have to agree with my Australian "Mexican" mate, unless you're a big user anything longer than 9m is all but impossible to get at present. In fact some of the better known suppliers are only carrying stock up to 6.1m. When the boat was designed I'm assuming the "welded properties" of the material were used so there shouldn't be an issue as long as the welds were correctly constructed. It is always a fun game deciding where to place this type of join. Structurally it would have been better further aft, however, placing it in the bow causes the plate to be tensioned during construction which will minimize any distortion left by the joining process.
