The winter project, a few pics

#1

Post by Kingcrab »

Long time lurker, first time poster... Have really enjoyed reading/learning about and seeing all the boats on this forum...

Its going to be a very long winter/spring...here's some shots of my project in the works... 28 ft in the water (32 overall) x 9'6"...Will have twin OB's, pot hauler / down riggers , generator, etc. Setting it up for "camping", fishing and diving... Hopefully this post works...messed up a few times trying to get it uploaded...

Thank you! ...Nope wish it was a business, that would imply that I could MAKE money doing such things...this is definitely a SPENDING project!! David Norvelle (Norvelle Boats) is building it for me down in Nehalem, OR...

Most likely will be completed in May..I am going to paint it with Awlgrip + cockpit and rear of house in Zolatone so going to have quite a bit of prep time...could be close to a 3 week process I think...leaning towards Edmonds marina at the moment...pretty spendy there and not a lot of spaces but its close and I really think the conveniance factor will be worth it at least for 4-6 months...really hope to drag it up to Roosevelt for a week or so...great cruising and boat camping area for later in the summer...San Juans and BC islands for sure also... Over the winter I am not sure...I have a shop I hope to keep it in but it will be all of 36 ft with trailer and motors so I am down to inches of leeway for a fit...we'll see...
