New Wooldridge Owner in Alaska

#1

Post by bkmail »

Just purchased this boat from another Alaskan. Wooldridege 27' Pilot House. Cabin is extended almost 2'.
It's set up pretty well except I am adding an Espar D4 heater to it.
Main usage will be in PWS.

Congrats on the boat purchase! There are a few images of that boat on the Wooldridge website from when it was brand new. It still looks great!

Thanks, we're pretty excited to get her out. The original build thread is still on AOD forums back in '07. I remember watching it then as well as many other boat build threads over the years. I found this forum by watching youtube vids of last years AAB meet and greet as I saw Spoiled One's sticker on his window and looked it up. I have owned a few Aluminum boats in the past to include Alumaweld and an Alaska Airboat.
Love looking at everyone's boats and getting ideas to make ours that much better. Appreciate all the feedback.
Unfortunately I won't make the shrimp opener as it will be late May before we drop her in the water for spring bear and shrimping in PWS.
Great site.

PS- She had Sharkhide applied to her when she was new so that might explain how good the hull looks. I will reapply this summer when I can locate some up here.
