As long as I 'behave myself' I can generally maintain 2 mpg and mostly a little more 2.10-2.15 mpg. If I open up beyond 4500 rpm then economy really starts to suffer, but at 4100-4200 rpm I am cruising at 32-36 mph and still getting 2+mpg.

I have just had the 'recall' ECU units fitted. It makes a difference - it seems to me that some mid-range grunt has gone but the engines rev easier at the top end. Previously I had to work to get 6000 rpm at sea but now it seems to reached more easily.
