Hi all:
After looking around for nearly 5 years, we are finally getting our own Alloy Boat--a 24 foot Riverhawk Pro Cuddy. I boat and fish primarily with my Dad and brother Tony, so a new acquisition required a unanimous decision. It took me the first couple of years to convince them we were better off in an alloy boat. :-) In the end, the durability, utility and functionality won out. Pops just got a place at Driftwood Keys--which has a marina--so we are looking forward to keeping the boat in the water and spending more time together fishing and crabbing, etc. We looked at a lot of boats--and this one fit our needs best. Our boat is being built now, and we expect to take delivery in April--just in time for spring Halibut. We just got the first build photos--and more are expected as we move along. I will keep you all up to date. But first, here are some of the particulars.

24 foot Riverhawk Cuddy Pro
self-draining deck
Alaska Bulkhead
250 Yamaha Main
9.9 kicker
2nd steering station for the Kicker
Pops is still reasonably spry for a guy in his 70's, but Riverhawk offered to put in a side door and padded gunnels so we can keep Pops fishing for a long time.
Thanks to Bob (Chaps) for his guidance over the last couple of years--and all the rest of you guys too!

thanks Guys! I will keep the pics coming. we opted for no paint on the hull--just a narrow blue vinyl wrap just below the gunnel.

Honestly I don't ask date but I assume around same time as yours motor will be here this week I go 1 time a week and check on it if I had to guess after being there today they have a week of welding left give or take a little..

A month in Westport or in the sound you will need to pull the boat and Bleach the hull and wash her bottom clean or you will hate life. Ask Bob @CHAPS about what he has seen of the local boats not protected.

Hey Guys:
I have already asked my uncle Bob about getting on his schedule for bottom paint :-) The funny think is--Bob's shop is less than a mile from my house--so I can stop by and help out too!

We went with two heavy suspension seats (mechanical) forward--a small table and forward facing bench on the passenger side and a sideways bench behind the captain's seat. I'm not sure of the brand--but I will ask. I think more photos are due on Monday or tuesday!

Checked out the local boat show last week, Riverhawk 22 was on display.
I am wondering re: the gas fill placement. See pic, how would you refuel if, say you took a longer trip (tuna??) and packed a couple jerry cans just in case.
Maybe the 24 is different, regardless a very nice well put together vessel, seemed like a lot of boat for only 22ft advertised

That is the same issue I have with my diesel fill, and it is on the opposite side of the boat as the gas fill (However that helps me to never mix fuels!)

Either the builders don't think, or the assume you are filling up on a trailer.

I think the pic posted by Gypseas is pretty close to what our boat will look like (same color). The blue stripe will be narrower on our boat and ours has 2 foot more dance floor. The fuel filler is also in the same location on our boat. For what we do, a 100 gallon tank should be plenty--so probably no need for at-sea refilling :-)

Hey Mike, is that paint or vinyl? If I had to do it again I'd nix the vinyl stripe on my boat. It had small nicks in it just from bringing it down from Seattle. Got a good dock rash on it a few weeks ago going up wind into the dock. Just way better to not have anything on it. Looks pretty but not real functional IMO.

Anybody know what they were asking for the 22"? Just curious.

We had the option to go with full or partial paint on the hull sides or to go with the vinyl. We opted for vinyl to avoid paint issues. We are getting a hull stiffener/rub rail--so hopefully that will protect the vinyl. If it gets too scratched up, I guess we can take it off or replace it. I'm not sure how much the 22 was going for--that boat was not in Seattle. Captain Adrian (Gypseas) may know.

Not in the market for another boat so I did not pay attention to the sticker price, however a quick Google search yielded this 24 ft, 22 ft likely a little less

Be sure to have them weld some nice big cleats so's I can snatch it up off the trailer Mike. Preferably 16' apart

on edit: I see on their site they have nice lift eyes on the transom, gunwale cleats are kinda dainty though, even for regular tyin' off work. They got anything bigger?
