New to me 16' Alumacraft

#1

Post by fishernick »

Hey everyone, recently upgraded from my small 12' mirrocraft to a 16' alumacraft Lunker V16. This is the picture from when I picked her up, but I already took up the flooring, ran all new wiring throughout the entire boat, installed a new bilge, new gang box, horn, new speakers, fixed the radio, added a swim/safety ladder to the bow, and fixed the electric starter on the 40hp tohatsu. Anyone else own one of these? Primary uses will be fishing and crabbing in the rivers and bays of NJ. Let me know what you think!

Thanks! I am hopefully going out later this week/weekend. Being a young boat owner (22) is tough, but it is so rewarding. No better feeling than being on the water either catching fish or crabs, and bringing them home and having a good meal with friends and family. Tight lines everyone.

Yes those Blue Crabs are good. Spent a bunch of time in DE and VA. Fishing and eating them.

Late to the program on this post, but congrats on the new play toy. Looking at hanging a new tohatsu 60 on my newly acquired Bayrunner 20+. How has your 40 hp worked out for you?
