Well, I moved on from the 25' Seawolf. I really liked that boat, but this baby became available for a good price. The Bayweld rides exceptionally well in moderate to mod-heavy sea states, can't say enough enough about its handling capabilities for its length, beam and displacement.

Its 29x9.5. Deep entry and forefoot for aluminum planning hull, 17* At the transom, no lifting strakes. Has a drop bow for disembarking, I use it commercially as a taxi etc. Seats 6 on the port and 3 behind captain. Electric head accessible from cockpit. Owner of bay weld had it built as his personal/showboat, friend bought it and ran it a year as crew trans for gas platform workers. He ordered an armstrong cat and liquidated this one to me.

Some more pics. This boat rides nicer than any other aluminum boat of this proportion I've been in (basically all). The mid cab distributes weight nicely. The deep forefoot does not catch (broach) overtaking. The chine flats are large and transition from bow to stern as to generate great lift and stability but not slap in head sea.

Any idea what the displacement (tanks empty) is?

What kind of fuel economy / range does it get?

Very nice boat.

Displacement empty is about 10,000lbs. Tankage is 200 gallons. She gets 1.7-1.9 gpm. The 200's push her 30 28-29 not at 4300 rpm. She'll cruise I nicely at 3800-3900 rpm around 24-25 knt. Props are powertech ptz3's 14.25"x17"p. Wot is 5500 loaded, 6000 with 15" Yamaha reliance props. I've had her in 45 knt head wind no prob. Boat runs out into the unprotected water of the gulf of Alaska daily.

That is a nice boat. What sort of business is it? You said taxi but for what? Is the vessel USCG Cert/inspected? if you carry 9 pax your USCG credential is? Got any pics of her underway! Really nice.

Didn't intend to be in anyway!!!! I love the boat! I have no idea what a Bayweld costs, but every boat that I have seen pictures of shows how far that go. Epic boats. I wish i knew more about them and they were local when i was looking. That Alaska State Trooper boat they built with quad Suzukis is insane!

Vessel displacement is around 9 ton, I use the boat to transport kayakers/paddle boarders/hunters/climbers/skiers/hikers around the seward/whittier area. Also around haines and the lynn canal feb-may taking heli-ski clients out on down day tours. Curently running as a six-pack but in process of getting a COI for more. I ave a six angler 3A permit but rarely use it anymore. Trailer is a 12,000lb tandem, needs another axle (who's bonehead idea was it anyway, 12,000 tandem-sheez).
