One day.......

#1

Post by mojomizer »

One day I am eating Yellow Eye Rockfish and Spotted Shrimp from Prince William Sound  The next a Wahoo from Alijos Rocks....... 3000 miles difference, the spices from Louisianna 1800 miles away.

Wahoo thawed skinned and medallioned.

Image

Crusted with Konrico spices and a bit of Catfish breading.

Image

Image

Blackened over High Heat. 2 minutes each side.

Image

Image

Make some Tartar Sauce...... Carol is not a Pickle relish person so I improvise with Garlic. Wondering if I should kick it up a notch with some home dried Jalapenos?????

Image

Heck Ya

Dinner served. With some White Wine.

Image

Tender Flakey Wahoo a little custom garlic tartar sauce.

Image

Geeze it's horrible having to eat from the sea........ A little local lobster earlier in the week.

Now if I can figure how to get some Northern California Dungeness Crab????????

Time to hit the Treadmill

Heh heh............... One day I'll invade Louisiana and get the Brown bag of peel and eat shrimp and eat Oysters till I pop. Talking to Momma about logistics  Lucky remember the last time you raided the fridge

What do they put in that Konriko Spice????????? Crack because I am addicted to the stuff. I even heard DaddyO travels to Kansas to get the stuff.

Waterdog247 pretty soon you will have the keys to the Fresh Seafood Buffet  When do you get to turn the keys on your Alloy?

What do you guys think?????? Starting an AAB Seafood recipe Board.

Heck yeah! I'm in!

Mojo, It looks like the survey came back in fine shape. The mechanic wants to check one more thing before he hacks off on it. I am all about being detailed for this!

If all goes well, Anne will be driving to Vancouver Island to pick it up before thanksgiving!

The way I cook really isn't a recipe others could really follow. My measurements go kinda like this: Put a buttload of this, a passle of that, a dab of the other, a pinch of the whatchyamacallit and a smidgen of dat-stuff.......... In other words, I don't really MEASURE stuff...............

Most of them start with, "First ya make a Roux................"

Not really sure........... It is just a combination they came up with way back when that they started marketing a while back. All I know is that I put it on almost anything I eat.

Our oldest daughter doesn't live far from the Konriko Rice mill. (Where it is made/mixed) So when we get down two the last couple cans of it she picks us up a couple cases of it to stock us back up.

If that stuff is as good as Tony Chachere's, I see what could be a lucrative distribution enterprise in your future!

Mark- Here is some Konriko just for you! Carribean style!

Tony's is too salty for me. By the time you get enough of it on the food to get the flavor,it is too salty. Some love Tony's, but I only use it as a last resort........

Heck Lucky thats what I do with all my cooking...... If I did not have a Clean tasting spoon family members would be running out the door in horror :rotfl: So post up your dab of this and that........... Konriko spice was the best advice EVER.

Waterdog247 I like the the sound of Konriko Mojo Spice for some odd reason. You have to try Konriko out. Next thing you know you'll be in the dark back store isle asking the store manager to "Hook You up Maaaaannnn" :rotfl:

Deno buddy I hope you put a smoking hole in some Colorado Elk........ You missed a great Meet and Greet.

PeterBo how are you doing? How is the summer season shaping up? Some of the fish you catch I am interested on how the fillets look and how you cook em. You catch Wahoo too?????

Thanks for all the kind words everyone.
