Our youngest Daughter just sent us pictures of a DIAMOND RING on her left hand followed by a phone call , she is wound tight to say the least.
Lauren and Bryan are best of friends and that's the best way to start.
Claudia and I are VERY happy for them .

Very cool. From what you were telling me about him earlier, he seems like a stand up guy. Well done! :highfive:

Yep , Claudia and I knew for two weeks that Bryan was going to ask her . He sent us a next day Fed ex with a letter asking us for permission to ask for her hand .
He apologized for not asking in person and I told him it was OK, as to drive a 3200 mile round trip without Laurens knowledge would be pretty hard to do.
He just got his Professional Engineer 3 months on his 1st try and is doing well .

Great news Les. Just make sure he is marrying her for her and not for her daddy's boat!! :sarge:

The ring is DROP DEAD GORGEOUS. Lauren sent me a text message with the bling picture attached... She and Bryan were fantastical hosts last month for my half Marathon jaunt there at DisneyWorld.....
Love them both.
I am happy for them and the proud parents.

Sounds like Welder is about to host a "Shin-dig" after some wedding vows in the near future.

Congrats to your daughter and her new husband (that you seem to approve of). Life is full of great things and this is one of them. Congrats to you as well Lester as it is a big moment for you as well no doubt. I still get to sit on the front porch with the shotgun for a few more years

Lucky guy for sure. Those are still "restricted" up here. You can only shoot them at approved range's with no hunting with them etc. We have some pretty shitty gun law's up here. Don't get me wrong, lot's of folks do own them up here however and do shoot them at the range but that's it.

I'll have to stick to the shotgun on the porch for this Canadian dad with a daughter.

Cool stuff Les. A happy father you must be :joecool:
