New Guide Service

#1

Post by Kelper »

Well guys, I decided to start my own little guiding service up here in Alaska, in addition to the charter work I do during the peak of the season. With the economy the way it is, I figured a few people would appreciate an alternative to the expensive charters available up here.

I'm using my 1925v Pacific with a 130hp Honda. It will be some good old fashioned guiding for Kings, Ling, and Halibut. Plan on using the Shimano Butterfly jigging system for ling and yelloweye, and offer some trips for guys who want to fly fish in the salt. I'll be doing lots of experimenting this spring with fly gear to see what my area has to offer. I have a good feeling about it though.

Must have been a bad winter so far....wondered where ya got off too?

Really, it's bad there? The reason I say that is because if you took a survey of biggest/badest boats here. They are owned by Alaskans. Not 12 months a year Floridians, which is very surprising.

Good to have ya back Kelper.....take alot of pics from that 19.
