Fishin and Wishin

This past weekend I had the pleasure of welcoming guests aboard the Lady Diane who had not previously fished with me. Both charters hailed from NY (yes we do allow Yankee fans on the boat) and in fact lived within a few miles of each other. While we did not “limit out” on cod either day (the streak is over) we did experience some great fishing targeting both ground fish and tuna. In fact we had a possible record catch

Great report. So do you hand pull your pots or do you have a hauler?

Hand pull as I only have a 10 pot Rec permit and I fish shallow water.

Cap George, do ole men and women & kids, get a certificate of physical achievment from the "Govenator" Arnold Terminator, after jigging a spoon that heavy all day?

Us Northerners are tough...just like our boats

You dont have to jig much when the bite is on..a couple pulls and your tight.

I probably have every jig ever made (including all the fancy new light ones) but when I want to put fish in the box I always go back to old reliable. Give them what they want

10-4.......I must get some really sickly Northerns on my boat then, cause their putting ice inside their hats and heavin' when really in a 12 pound Redfish.

Oh, the 100 degree heat and 100% Huimidity may have something to do with it all.

Me too, I bought some Norweigians and caught all my Jiggy-fish on them too.....because of YOU guys.

From King Mackerel to Seabass, they all ate them 10X better than the new fangled stuff.

Just not in as deep of water, so we went lighter. 4 & 6 oz Norwegians.
