Another use for aluminum boats...
Part of my job, on Alaska's North Slope, is to run various boats for oil spill response. Here's the fleet...
It includes 2 drop bows (45' and 55'), four 42 footers, a couple 38 footers, and another group of 25 footers. The drop bows are twin diesel/jet, the 25 footers are single diesel inboards, and the rest are twin diesel inboards.
There's a couple twin outboard 29ft boats, and some misc. boats not pictured.
All aluminum, and fun to drive.

Hiding under a bowhead whale skull...
Okay, this one was inland, and no boat was involved, but here's a sow grizzly and her cub...
Zoom out a bit, and it get's better. :)
We had to leave, but I know the sow didn't mess with the caribou, as there was no carcass around that evening.
