There is alot to like about that boat. It says that it is in Westchester County, NY...so it has probably a mostly fresh water boat. Well...Hudson River fresh! :)

25' Sea Ark- All Welded Aluminum Ex Police Vessel
Vehicle Description

The boat is a 25' Extended Cabin model with twin 175 Evinrude outboards. One motor is a 2000 and the other is a 2001 both in good running order. This is an Ex-State Police boat built by Sea Ark (seaark.com) in 1988. The boat wieghs about 6500 lbs. There are two 90 gallon fuel tanks. The boat has a nice tow bit with removable rail behind it, a side dive entry door, D-section rubber bumper(s) all the way around, search light, wipers, and side and rear flood lights.

Entire boat is solid welded aluminum construction from the people who know boats: http://www.seaark.com

81 inches of headroom inside cabin. Total beam is 9'2" which includes the rubber D-section bumpers. Sides are 34" near the stern, taller towards the bow. Transom measures 26 inches (at center of each motor mount) and 31" in the dead center. Boat does measure 25' long. Rear well deck is self bailing with a large bolt down hatch (4' x 6') covering two 90 gallon fuel tanks.

Front deck is flush with a water-tight hatch and forward crash compartment which is water-tight also. Crash compartment has drain valve with reach rod to deck. Cabin floors are sealed, welded of aluminum deck plate, no plywood or carpet. Two each Bomar oval water-tight flush hatches inside cabin also. Two forward storage cabinets and two aft storage benches inside cabin.

Paint is good but not perfect. Some blemishes, scuffs and scratches. Paint could use attention in places. The hull is in real good shape no major dings or dents or corrosion. This is NOT a rotted piece of junk, great commercial boat for towing, patrol, having the toughest walkaround fishing boat, marine construction, the potential is endless. The trailer is available but not included. The boat is located in Westchester New York and can be viewed any time. If there are any questions give Randy a call at (914) 384-9869.

If I was a Sea Tow company, I'd surely be like Illgotoo, and be picking these boats up, rather than old "FG" boats to use.

This one looks like a pretty damn nice boat.

Maybe someone can explain what this means;

"Front deck is flush with a water-tight hatch and forward crash compartment which is water-tight also. Crash compartment has drain valve with reach rod to deck."

Crash compartment. Never heard that before. Are we talking a special space that will Bouy the whole boat if hull is punctured??

Thanks Illgotoo, your facination has me now watching and learning.

Did ya ever buy that 17 foot Safeboat?

Thanks, Jettywolf!

My guess is the crash compartment is the forward part of the hull that has
a bulkhead to contain flooding in the advent of a puntured hull. The bulkhead
must have a "reachable" drain to the aft compartment and the bilge.

We should invite Randy to join. This forum should have an invitation button to
invite aluminum alloy boat enthusiasts to join as other members come across them.
Do any other forums have this feature?

Yo....... welder????

Illgotoo, I know for a fact we have no way of excluding registration until "Profile Page" has locale listed.

So that too, maybe a tall order.

But welder has me. I'm not automatic, but I do stay focused  on the objective.
Like a good location Nazi should.

Here is the same boat that was bought at auction for about 17K and selling for 32K:

New Jersey State Marine Police must be upgrading their fleet.
Here is where they are coming from. They have 12 of them in current fleet:

scroll down to the 25' Seaark.

Mine is the same but is 23' with 8' beam rather than 9' beam. I do like the boats.

The boats really sit up nice and high in the water with the outboards up high. I like that:

I certainly wouldn't put a few lil 5 year old Dennis the Manace's  on that boat for a day of fishing. Because, my experience has taught me that if they can mess with something they will.

I've had a rod holder packed with dead shrimp! I wondered why the rod wouldn't fit all the way to the bottom.

Can ya just image what the little menace's could do on this boat?

Everything is wide open and exposed...and I bet that fresh air vent would be a great place to throw candy wrappers and dead bait when the Captain's no looking.
