26' Thomas marine

Post by Toytaco »

Long time creeper but first time posting!
Found this a few weeks ago and figured I should share it with all of you.
Especially considering how rare alloy is on the east coast.
Wish it was in my $ range. Good deal for nice rugged boat!

Would love to know some more info on this boat/builder.
Scoured the inter web with not a whole lot of luck.
Sounds like a guy from Long Island makes them, mostly commercial and law enforcement
But I could be wrong.
Wonder what specs are on this boat, dead rise etc.

Try private messaging Welderbob here (you can find him in the members index) or alternatively, go onto his FB page and contact him there:

He used to work for Tom Carney (Thomas Marine) and he may know that boat.

I worked at Thomas Marine when this boat was built. I kind of remember the boat but not the console. I would bet that the boat is selling for more than it was built for new. The hull is a a modified twist bottom. Shallow deadrise in the stern, makes for a very stable platform. Tom Carney retired in 2003. I learned a lot from Tom ,he is a master-craftsman .His boats are generally heavily framed with 1/4" bottoms.

I probably didn't work there when this one was built, it doesn't look familiar. I worked there from the early 90's. Do you know who the original owner was? Looks like it needs a good blasting, engine looks original. We redo older aluminum boats. If you sell it and the new owner is looking for someone with experience to do the work, have them give me a call.
