We are figuring out to build them.. If you want to help and get involved, we are building 3 in January/February.

Howard, who is we? Will it be a kit or are you building from scratch?

I met a CAD guru on BD. I have looked at buying a trailer locally, shipping a trailer from Florida. The prices were insane and I wasn't sure what I was getting. Even without the drawings, I figured how hard could it be. All of the aluminum I beam trailers are bolted together from standard parts. The trailer guys are building them in a day or two at most.

Here is where we are at for 28-32' Capable trailer
Oversized 8" I beams $950
Forming at Seattle Boiler $200
Triple 7k axles $1200
7 8 lug tires/wheels $1200
Winch/jack $225
Stainless calipers/Coated rotors $1050
Brake lines $150
Lights/wire $150
Coupler $100
EHOH $600
Galvanized tongue $100
Aluminum for cross members/winch stand/bunks/fenders $500
Bunk covering $100
Stainless hardware $150

So under $7k for a triple axle 21k GVW trailer. It will be considerably less for a tandem axle, especially if going with 5200lb axles vs the 8 lug 7k. Trailers from Florida were about 8k plus shipping ($1500?) Tuff Trailer wanted $12,500. The above numbers are slightly on the high side to be budget safe.

We want to lay out the way to do it, get a parts list together that can be bought through us and delivered as a "kit" I will probably not participate after the first few, I have a lot on my plate already. Tracking down the parts and especially the beam bending is what I have been working on.
