2006 23 Pacific Skiff for sale

#1

Post by Hurly »

Well, the canyon bug has got me and i am looking to move up in size and number of motors. I am now a fan of aluminum boats and would love to find a larger Pacific or other...but finding one is next to impossible. Thus my reluctance to list this as I know i cant replace it. i figured i will list it first here as this sight has been a wealth of info.

2006 2325 Pacific Skiff, forward anchor locker, forward storage, back/back seating with storage under, gunnel trays, tuna door. LD swivel Rod holders.
2015 Honda BF250 with warranty into late 2020. Approx 220hrs and climbing as i am still using the boat. 3.5mpg loaded. over 4mpg lighter. Motor is even more efficient then bf225 it replaced.
trim tabs
Raymarine c120 with Radar
Fusion IPOD radio and speakers.
Standard Horizon vhf with AIS
Rigid industries 30" LED light bar (ridiculously bright)
LED nav lights

2003 continental galv. bunk trailer.
SS disk brakes.
new springs and hardware.
she is good to go...i use it thousands of miles every year so they need to be kept up.

Looking for 55k. Boat is in Rhode Island. I don't have to sell and will gladly keep. New ones are very expensive now. This is a lifetime warranty hull with new power and warranty. Best to email me to start the conversation. joshuar13@aol.com

welder, Wow $100k is almost enough to convince me to begin building skiffs again! That's one pricey skiff! do I understand from the 2325 that the LOA is 23' - 3" or is that how the nomenclature works? (EDITED) went to site and confirmed numbering scheme.

Sure is a pretty penny for an open skiff!! And Pacific builds where the metal is 'made'/rolled/milled so there's not much freight in that original cost! Saw a couple several years ago, here in Alaska, and they were sure built well. My only gripe is the lack of a spray rail on the topsides leaves 'em wet in a head sea- but the workmanship was 2nd to none. But with a weather helm and self bailing decks, I guess a little bow spray isn't much to worry about?

Besides, I'm too old to build skiffs anymore. But it sure makes me pause to think.

Cheers,

Kevin you are correct on all counts and Pacific does do a small spray rail now.

welder, I realized that wasn't used pricing and was new build w/ all the turnkey options but it still sounds like the higher end - to me. I figure an old welder could make wages if those are the market prices?

Anyway, another old guy, like me, has decided "he and me" (we) is gonna build his new 32'er so I'm drawing up a storm, working out weights and balances (table of moments) and all that sort of thing for the first time in a while- means there will not be many skiffs happening in my immediate future! However, being a wise owner builder, this friend's first shop project was to install a couple of overhead rails with electric lifts so us old guys can even rig up to build! That's my kind of shop environment- no lifting except the pennant control for the overhead.

Hope we're able to do as nice a job on this 32'er (pair of Yamaha 300's) as Pacific does on their builds? The price for a new welded 32'er is so high this owner decided to build for himself, and even settled for the geriatric help-staff (assistant welder) in the process! He's built skiffs before but nothing this size, so he drafted me to get some larger displacement experience and to draw his design, generate some cut files and help with the metal work.

May do a thread on the build - not sure how private he wants to keep the hull lines? We'll see, what "three or four Pacific 2325's" looks like as the winter moves on.

Cheers,
