WTB Pacific 2175

#1

Post by Ratred »

Hey all, new to the board. Fell in love with a Pacific 26 over the weekend and now I need to have one. The 26 is too big, but I'm interested in the 2175. Considering the 19, but I don't want to find myself wishing I had gone bigger a couple years down the line.

Opinions welcome on choosing between the two sizes.

Was there ever a 2175? I thought there was a 19/20 23 and 26. 23 seems like the sweet spot...has different deadrise than the smaller boats too if I'm not mistaken?

That's the link for the 2175 with t top. They discontinued the 20 because people were putting outboards and kickers which made it stern heavy. At least that's what Julie told me when I called.

I have a 23 I purchased used. You would have to go some to damage the hull. Very satisfied! 2003 yr.

I have the 1925V. I've had it out in the Pacific Ocean and on a couple of occasions dearly wished it was longer. If your going to do big water go bigger. If you can find one! I'd like a 23'. The 19' doesn't span the distance between the choppy waves and doesn't exactly have a v hull so you get pounded pretty hard. Luckily the things are tough as nails, but you may need have the fillings put back in your teeth running into the wind.

2175 is a really cool boat, it is basically a shortened 2325, has the same beam, side height and dead rise as the 2325. I do not think they have made too many of them, pretty rare, be tough to find used.

Yea I think you're right about the rarity. I was looking back at posts here and it looks like they only started making them 10 years ago. I'm still toying with the idea of buying new, but man it's a big commitment.
