Re: Here Kitty Kitty
Is that the 25 foot Armstrong? I took the tour on akcat's Armstrong when he got it up here. What a fishing platform they are! Someday, maybe.
Spending my kids inheritance with them, one adventure at a time.

Re: Here Kitty Kitty
Workin on that Mac.....but pretty darn reasonable by the sounds of itMacCTD wrote:What does that boat cost?
Need to find out why they use 5mm skin for the pontoons instead of 6mm
They pack a lot into a 24' hull for sure
Been on a FG cat and loved the ride, and the fact that the HP requirement was quite low, and fuel efficiency wasn't too bad....
What I find really neat on some of their boats is the starboard walkway (1 side only) to the bow so you're not on the bow deck....pretty neat
Re: Here Kitty Kitty
My guess is $175K the way it sits.MacCTD wrote:What does that boat cost?
I looked at them (Cats) at their shop. Great guys up there and a good builder of cats. A 25’ Cat at the time (2004) was about $150K.
Too bad Andy is out of business.

No way it cost $175,000. We built one a year ago ( 30'x11') and it wasn't a whole lot more then that ( less then $40,000 more) and it was outfitted with everything I could think of.

I don't understand? What did it cost you to build a (30"x11') Cat? Who built it? What was in it? Pictures?akcat wrote:NIGHTHAWK wrote:My guess is $175K the way it sits.MacCTD wrote:What does that boat cost?

Seems that the pictures went bye bye after the server went "boom". It is an Armstrong cat, too. I have walked through it and it is very well thought out and it puts fish in the boat!

Re: Here Kitty Kitty
Armstrong built it and I paid less then $215,000 with a trailer, but I had to ship it to Anchorage ( forgot how much it was). I keep trying to put on a pic but it says my pic is to large.NIGHTHAWK wrote:I don't understand? What did it cost you to build a (30"x11') Cat? Who built it? What was in it? Looked bigger than I thought, so it will be closer to $150k

Re: Here Kitty Kitty
Hi;
Anyone know anything about the Summer King, specifically what type of actuators are used for the bow door? I'm considering doing the same thing with my 24' landing craft and was just starting to look in to what was available when I saw the picture of the Summer King with the bow door actuators in this thread.
Thanks in advance.
