Commercial Projects

#1

Post by CWB »

Sometimes things come full circle. Like in life when you start out in diapers and end the same way....

These are two 32'x15' commercial fishing vessels under construction.

Are those coming up here to fish Bristol Bay? Those Bay boats are tanks. What a rodeo!
Spending my kids inheritance with them, one adventure at a time.

Hello ReelSong, why yes it is! There is two in the shop, one is Kiwi's and the others is for his brother Bruce. I have been rather lazy about taking pictures but will see what I can do about updating this thread on the weekend.

A couple before loading onto the barge. We considered several nicknames for the "fort". Popeye, phone booth, ultimately to settle "Jetty" , after AABs finest......

Those must be headed for the Bristol Bay Sockeye fishery, right? I worked on the docks in South Nak Nek in the early 90's. When we picked the boats out of the water at the end of the season, my job was to make sure the boats were set properly in their cradles. We loved the alloy boats because they were so easy to pick and set. Not like those pain in the butt NON ALLOY K boats that each has their own custom cradles. So is the upper helm to give the boat an advantage at finding the fish and finding the best place to squeeze into the combat line?

Yes they are refrigerated Welder. Most of his boats will hold 15-20k lbs refrigerated if I remember correctly and they will receive around 10 cents a lb extra up in the bay over non-refrigerated fish at delivery.

Napa Valley, they did head to "the bay". Yes the "fort" is for spotting fish/setting on the line amongst 400 other 25k lb vessels trying to feed their families/a birds eye of the back deck for barking orders.

These two brothers primarily fish the north line of Egegik.

I'm SO surprised when builders do not take advantage of putting up FREE advertising photo's.
Maybe they could hire me as thier PR man, as I do 10 reports a day, 1200 words on my own blog, take pictures and do Youtube videos......if not :deadhorse: business is futile.

I even post it all here, in hopes that someone passes on the "good word". :nutkick:

Especially surprised by Pacific when there's so many Pacific owners here.
