New to alloy site
New to alloy site
Ben lurking here awhile, was turned on to this site by waterdog247 from another forum. A little about myself, I've been running aluminum boats on the rivers for 30years but my offshore boat was a glass seasport, I decided to build my own boat and being that I've been a welder, fabricator/ sheet metal guy for 25 years I've decided to build my own 31' X10' offshore boat from a set of plans I bought from a canadian designer. If I can figure out how to upload pic's I will

Very, very nice! We need a lot more pictures, though. Is that one of Jarek's designs? Great first post!

Here is the link: http://metalboatkits.com/ I have not seen them before. She looks real nice. You will like your F250s. I love mine, but would have considered the new F300s if they were available. How much fuel can you carry? Keep the pictures coming!

Yeah, forgot to mention MBK site The AK275 is the kit before all my mods to fit my needs. I'll call Julie tomorrow. My boat should carry just a few gallons under 200 If thats not enough I'll add 45 under the aft station but I hope 200 will do with the 250's. I cant afford the new 300's, I'm buying a pair of low hour 250's from a friend who order'd 3 new 300's.

Re: New to alloy site
Yamaha sure is proud of their new line of motors. Will yours have digital controls? I missed out on the 250Bs and of course the new line up. I would be curious to get some feed back on the new 300s from your friend. What will they be pushing?ReelSong wrote:Yeah, forgot to mention MBK site The AK275 is the kit before all my mods to fit my needs. I'll call Julie tomorrow. Re: New to alloy site
I had the pleasure of getting to run on Spoiled ones ride and his 250's will make her move very well and the fuel burn is not bad for a boat of that size and weight .
What were we running Pete about 14,000lbs ?

That is what I figured with full fuel, water, food, and five guys. We still were doing better than 1 mpg.

I wish I owned a foundry! No, I was just posting their link. There's 2 or 3 others in the area besides Fraser . . .
