New to alloy site
Re: New to alloy site
I was told it was OK to mention so I just wanted to share that I got pricing for windows back with all the same spec's and Motion Windows in Vancouver was the best price and closest location to me coming in at under $2800.00 for 10 windows all together so I order'd them up and hope to see them about the time I get back fro Costa Rica. Thanks again Chaps for the sites
Re: New to alloy site
Started another, little project for a friend today, repair cracked ribs, and stringers, then add transom box, sounder box ect should get it done next week. Beginning to think I need to branch off the heating business into marine repair

Re: New to alloy site
You sure do nice work for someone not doing it as a business. Hey, think about starting new posts when you hit us with your projects - makes it easier to maintain flow on the board and lots of people stop checking in on topics when it looks like there are tons of posts to wade through - just a suggestion.

Re: New to alloy site
Mike I am selling the 150. Raising the transom 5" and hanging Wayne's 30" center 250 on mine. More Power if needed and on demand.
What I hate is the uncertainty of selling of the old one. I have it for sale on Ifish, BD, and on Craigslist. One offer for $1000 less than posted from a member on Ifish.
Should have it mounted and rigged. Ready for Halibut opening in May for the big coming out at La Push. You going in May?

I would like to get out what are the dates?
I was planning a trip to AK again this year but now it looks like we may be on strike or locked out here at work (full time job not Miller Marine) and I don't want to commit to a trip that expensive so I maybe interested.

Re: New to alloy site
Mike sorry about the late reply but here it is. the dates that is;
.# Columbia River (Ilwaco): Marine Area 1 will open May 5, three days a week, Thursday through Saturday until 70 percent of the quota is reached, or until July 17. The fishery will then reopen on Aug. 5 and continue three days a week (Friday through Sunday) until the remaining quota is reached, or Sept.30, whichever occurs first. The 2011 catch quota is 15,418 pounds.
# South Coast (Westport/Ocean Shores): Marine Area 2 will open on May 1, two days a week, Sundays and Tuesdays. During the fourth week in May the fishery will be open Sunday only (May 22). Beginning the following week the fishery will resume the Sunday, Tuesday structure until the quota is reached. The northern nearshore area will be open seven days per week, until the quota is reached. The 2011 catch quota is 43,500 pounds.
# North Coast (La Push/Neah Bay): Marine areas 3 and 4 will open on May 12, two days per week, Thursdays and Saturdays, through May 21. If sufficient quota remains, the fishery will reopen the week of June 2. If sufficient quota remains after that opener, the fishery will reopen starting June 16. The 2011 catch quota is 108,792 pounds
I did not copy seiku because I don't fish there. I will be in La Push on the opening W/E. After that I will make a Saturday Trip. Do not want to take more than a Four hour/half day out of work for the 6 hr drive out. Camp site and dock space reserved already. Now for the weather to cooperate

Re: New to alloy site
There's something about that hull that makes it kinda unique looking. I think it's that the whole thing seems "low".
From top to bottom it looks lower/shallower than many boats of it's kind.
Very nice. Any interior pics yet?

Re: New to alloy site
I'll post some interior pics as the panel and wood work come together. As far as low profile look, thats exactly what I was after, We lower'd the floor height to just above the design waterline so the pilot house could stay as low as possible , I hate fighting the wind. There's only 6'0" head height, but most the time your sitting while running. Rear flush deck is 6" higher then pilot house floor. Boat should drift and troll nicely but only time will tell

When are they getting hung?
That is a good looking boat already to be fished and scratched

Re: New to alloy site
Trying to sale the river boat so I can pay cash to finish all rigging and such. Being that Wayne is having trouble getting motors, no one's in a big hurry .I'd just as soon finish it all at once. Just waiting to hear. I'm sure it will get scratched once it starts fishing but hey its a boat.
