AMF Commercial 1300

Post by amfboats »

Built for the Chatham Islands, the AMF Commercial 1300 was fully rigged for cray fishing, but could just as easily be fitted out for charter fishing or a luxury pleasure fishing/cruising vessel.

Jet powered and drived by twin Volvo 450 Hp diesel engines.

Is this the same AMF company that built Bowling balls, and previously owned the Rabalo boat company in the US?

Because I never seen anything this quality looking come from the AMF I'm thinking about.

Bevan,
Out of curiosity,If you had to craft a pleasure version of the 1300,what will be your:
1.Berth options/locations?
2.Head/Shower locations?
3.Galley options?
4.Seating in saloon-space?..looks like a small saloon?
5.Can the boarding platform section be designed as the latest commercial 820?
6.Can the superstructure be totally changed to a modern one for a client if he chooses that way?
I love the video though:

It will be bloody great to see this beast with twin 625hp to twin 700hp with HJ jets!!
regards,
Nabeelah

Custom is what a lot of these boats are about, if was to be an actual project we would sit down and design the lay out just like this boat was done as custom build for a commercial cray fisherman on the Chatham Islands.

If it was me the only thought I have given it would be to have a small accomodation unit built for the deck area that was removable, in place for famliy type boating, remove unit for large deck for serious dive fishing trips. Realistically I dont think it is that good an idea. but hey its an idea.
