I'll hopefully be repowering by next season and replacing the 1987 Suzuki 65.
I'd like replacement to be light.
Easy on fuel for range.
I'm hoping to move away from the current portable tank set up to clear the deck up for fishing. Either with custom fab'd saddle tanks or one under deck tank.
Opinions?
Thanks,
Ken

If you want something light I think the Evinrude Etec in that hp range might be a good choice

The new Yamaha 70hp is very light and fuel efficient, I have read good things about it.

Re: repowering 60-75hp recommendations
I have a 60HP Yamaha on my Alumaweld, and a Honda 150 on my other boat. The Honda is a nice motor. The Yamaha is just a jewel. I would get the Yamaha.

I'm leaning towards the Yamaha 70. Wish the Yamaha instrumentation wasn't so expensive or it'd work with Floscan.
