Netman, 20 degrees is far better than the 'stock' recommended 10-12 degrees.
I've installed the CMC (Cook) jack on a few boats and it seems the most cost competitive for the features and is very well built.
I've only installed the hydraulic versions so I'm not familiar with others, the boats are 'driven' with the same technique as the tilt/trim: set the power; tweak the trim, then the jack while watching the r's. Add power when you have the best r's for a given angle and ht, and keep this up to tune the boat for that load, seastate and speed for a run.

Hey
Re: Hey
By the way after installing the F200 on my fishing boat and running hoop nets all summer I decided to go with a Atlas hydraulic jack plate. With the jack plate I am able to raise my motor straight up and then slight tilt to keep my gill nets from tangling in the lower unit. The season will be a true test for this Atlas jackplate. I raise and lower it about a 50-75 times a day. So far working great.
