2012 was the first season with this boat. After a painful build process and selling my Hewes too soon I missed a couple seasons on the water.
I thought I would do a recap of the first year on the water with the new boat. I love heavy picture posts so here it comes!
As you all can imagine I was on pins and needles last winter waiting for spring so I could splash Memory Maker for the first time. I had brought her home in October and spent until January putting the final touches on her. I was eagerly awaiting that point in the process where I could start making some memories and putting some distance from the pain (some of you know what I am talking about).
The day finally came on April 14th and we put it in the water.

Got to raft up with Spoiled One this weekend. Fun was had by all. Did some shrimping and hunting and just kicked back. Was rainy but we made the best of it!

I have a ton of fishing pics but they are all vertical and this forum won't let me post without resizing and well, I am just lazy..
I think it has to do with some Texxan. His way of getting back at us "rich Alaskans". Texas would be the third largest state if we split Alaska in half.
Spending my kids inheritance with them, one adventure at a time.

Apparently pictures are smaller in Texas too.

Last time I was in Alaska I left few small blocks of pressure treated lumber in the hull of a Alloy boat I did not fish off of. It shouldn't be hard to find the boat , it's in the 3% of the State of AK that is usable.

And here I thought the whole time someone was just kind enough to return the stolen blocks I used for tire chalks.
3% by roads.... 97% by the fun way!!! :-D

Dman, your good on figuring out the phone for the picture posting.
If we could just get the others to learn cool stuff like that and to set there cameras to take pictures that are 1024 X 768 or 800 X 600 they would pop right on ANY forum.
You can also set up your own Photo Album here on AAB and it will take your LARGE pictures and re-size them automatically, of course we have the whole winter to figure out the little things around here.
