What's in your trim tab actuators?
One of Vialula's trim tab actuators is ill. I believe it to be terminal. Unfortunately it is a MinnKota. Rather than peruse an obsolete product. I hoping for an actuator retrofit. What's in your actuators? Wires or oil. And are you happy about it?

I know someone out there has trim tabs. I'm looking into a Bennett actuator conversion, but have no feel for living with a hydraulic vs an electrical actuator system. The boat is wet slipped. So it sees a lot of time on the water. Post up and be counted.

Bennet trim tabs full of hydraulic oil on my old bayliner.
Only issue is the system is sensitive to minor voltage drop. If your 12 V system was not up to snuff, the trim tabs would not run the motor to pump the fluid.

I had oil driven one decades ago and they worked but need to be looked after to make sure fluid was at the right level, pump space was in with steering gear and they were slow. The units on my Raider are electric and work really well. Go electric! Simple install and no more mess!
