Call Northland and AML in Seattle they will give you a quote. They will put it on a skid if it doesn't have a trailer. Both Northland and AML have shipped boats for us. It all depends on the location and how many times the load is transferred to a different barge. It seems like the last 26 we shipped up from Seattle was around 1200 to Thorne Bay. We have a barge once a week with supplies and groceries. Last Wed they were selling fresh crispy cream doughnuts for 20 bucks a box that came up on the barge from Seattle on Tuesday .

Less from what I am being told. My boat is shortly going North. The guy told me First $3700. But he was trying o get me to come off my price. Around $2500 to go north on the ferry in Bellingham. Issue is you need to be there to off load it when the boat gets there.

Commercial guys that ship all the time get better rates? SOB! :hammer:

Another option if you have the time is trailer it to or from Prince Rupert and use AMH, it's a 2 day drive from Seattle. There are only a couple small passes, Jack BACK SIDE on the Frasier River and Grizzly Hill between Prince George and Rupert. With our F250 diesel we only have to refuel once in Canada at Prince George. It costs us more to ship from Juneau than from Seattle to Prince of Wales, so much for the local Known Shipper discount. Where are you taking your boat to for an adventure? Everybody charges for the total size of the load not the boat length. AML and Northland are trying to merge and once they do rates will probably go up.
