Man, what a great idea for a new website! I just signed up as a member.

I'm heavy into metal boats. I own two. Can't explain why exactly. Maintainability and durability are definitely two factors. I think I just like aluminum. Is it wrong?

I really enjoyed the pictures already posted to this website.

Here are my two boats. One's a 18' Eaglecraft and the other is a 15' Stabicraft (made in Bellingham, WA). I hope these images post correctly.

Hey now, we do not say things like that, because we know why we own them. You answered your own question, of course.

That StabiCraft is like a ACB huh? That boats killer!

I wanna see you on the other forums telling us about your boats.

I'm Jettywolf, in Florida and love to see all you guys up yonder can show me.

Jettywolf: The Stabicraft is like an ACB -- maybe a smaller version. I think the folks at ACB used to license Stabi's technology and build the Stabi's here in the US. I'm guessing the company that became ACB built my boat. This company improved on Stabi's design, patented the technology and then started a new company, ACB, separate from Stabicraft.

Yeah it sure looks like a smaller ACB.

Thanks for the reply. I can only imagine that Stabi, with a Jet Outboard running through the shallows around here. I'd freak people out.
Because of it's design and what I'd be doing, they'd think I was a Martian.

They already think I'm a relocated Canadian or Alaskan siener.

Nope, just a Jacksonville Florida "non-conformist". Who runs hard, and runs a lot.

It's my go-anywhere boat. It's at home in freshwater or salt. It will go up shallow rivers. And I fish the RI coast. The ride is fine except it gets pretty bumpy with chop over 2'. But it's safe. It has a welded deck with scuppers and 7 sealed aluminum air chambers.

I seen a ACB on ShipShape TV on cable one time and they were doing stuff to a bare ACB hull, like new seats etc. . But I did notice as they were cruising in a South Florida canal how loud that boat was, it was a 22 or 24 with a small cabin.

Being that it has air in the chambers and no insulating type material to muffle the sound is yours kinda loud, too?

Those ACB's sure look to ride in any water though. Where are the ACB guys...I need to invite them here.

Dang, we need to have this whole conversation over on "Share your boat pics" forum...Oh well.

Welcome Illgotoo

From what I understand, the Stabicrafts are great boats. I almost bought the 389XR, but I wanted an walk through. I thought that ACB had originally been producing boats under license from Stabicraft. I think all the Stabicrafts are still made in New Zeland.

I like the Eagle Craft. Don't ya hate it when you get a good shot of your boat, and then notice the fender is hanging out. :)

Jettywolf: Yeah it can a bit loud. Waves slapping it sound okay. When pushing through chop i has a hollow drum sound though.

BrianW: I didn't know the fenders were out. Also the motor isn't trimmed right. It is the only picture I have right now. Not really professional-grade.
