Did our annual family/friends fishing & camping week in Jamestown RI. Love the spot as we spend the week in bathing suits fishing, boating, kayaking, and clamming.
Made a run to the south side of Block Island one day for sea bass and large fluke. Clammed the shallow inlets for delicious cherry stones, and ate some of the most delicious homemade meals from our efforts.
Largest fluke was just 6 pounds, and we also had a large sea bass 5.5 pounds that was caught on a nearby ledge. Many keeper sea bass and scup went on ice and furnished us with delicious fish cakes at night.
Weather was great with most days being in the high 70's to mid 80's. And for the first time my oldest son ran the AlloyToy out for a day with the teens fishing as I sat at the dock thinking "man this happened fast"
Oh did I mention how much I love my reverse chine rails

The Aerohead that I looked at had a smaller version of that. One issue that was mentioned was that in a strong broaching current that edge affected stability.
True/Not True? I am no naval architect, but it made sense in my head (and I am easily confused)
Kind of like leaning into the current when you are in a Kayak..

I have only good things to say about the spray rails the Jack Winninghoff installed for me. Ideally you want the reverse chine incorporated into the hull design like so many builders do. My boat would "BANG" a lot on the 40 mile rides home after a day of tuna wishing That bang meant a shock up the spine. I figured If I'm going to be around fishing for a few years then what can be done to improve the ride of my 23' Pacific "BANG" is non-existent, spray gets pushed out and away from the hull, and the ride has been greatly improvedChtucker wrote:The Aerohead that I looked at had a smaller version of that. Pacific tried to copy this hull modification..........but they are not quite there yet Oh and I'm still waiting for my royalty checks from them
