Aluminum/Stainless safe anti seize?

I want to use anti seize on all of my stainless hardware on my aluminum I beam trailer. Typically anti seize is high in copper..

Any suggestions? TefGel is expensive for this application.

I need about 1lb for all of the parts of my trailer----I am trying to find something less expensive...

I'd like to suggest it is worth the time to passivate the SS fasteners. This is not hard to do; some passivisation acid gel will treat all your SS fasteners. That will reduce the surface reactivity of the SS and is a good first step.

Don't know the brand's you've link to, I've used about everything I could find and they all do some good for some while but none stop galvanic interaction.

Frankly, hot dipped galvanized bolts are better solutions to aluminum frame fasteners since the zinc is so much close to the aluminum on the galvanic scale; those bolts (screws are hard to find hot dipped AFTER thread cutting) last longer with much less corrosion in aluminum.

But Kevin, Howard has already bought a bucket full of SS hardware! Now you tell him galvanized is a better fastener? Don't break it to him that galvanized is also a lot cheaper . . .

Don't worry, I keep coming with a "just a few more things" I need to get. I am still saving upwards of 40%, just not the 50% that I envisioned. On the other hand if I had the trailer built some of things I am doing wouldn't be an option. (Individual wire to each light, extra cross members, galvanizing on the tongue AFTER the holes are drilled, thick walled axles that are manufacture rated for triples)

The reality is setting in that it might be best to have a forklift on hand to flip the trailer once built.

I saw your post on BD, if you can get all that stuff to my shop on Bainbridge you can move stuff around and flip the whole thing with the overhead cranes

ACB was using a ton of a product called ECK (Electrolysis Corrosion Kontrol). I ended up with a box of it after the auction. You are more than welcome to some of it. I have Jars and Spray cans.

Ordinary blue Loctite is an excellent thread sealer to prevent aluminum and stainless galvanic action, as it prevents all "wicking" of water along the threads. It cures anaerobically, so give it 24 hours before water contact. The blue version can be disassembled with ordinary tools and no heat. Way cheaper than Tef-Gel.
