Always have ran NON ALLOY boats, have a new welded aluminum boat for work now. It’s slipped in fresh water, Amy recommendations for maintenance on the hull? Should I be using different cleaners than I did with fiber glass? Any other tips?
Thanks

What steering system did you go with? How do you like the boat?

who made this one? looks nice!
Re: New to aluminum boats
It’s made by Lake Assault Boats, have about 30 hours on it and liking everything so far. They put Uflex steering on it, seems to work pretty good so far. Like the different steering modes you can switch around.
Is there anything that I need to worry about with the marine growth on the bare aluminum? The last boat I would take out and clean the hull every two weeks to a month with hull cleaner and a pressure washer.

Clean it with whatever you like, can't hurt it. Depends on type of growth you get but typically dawn detergent with a shot of bleach works good. If you get hard scale then try Mary Kate On-Off acidic cleaner (don't mix that with anything other than water)
