Hi All,
I just bought a Chris Craft roamer aluminium hull, I need to weld some patches over some corrosion on the hull . The hull is 5086. Would I need to use 5086 for the patches or is it ok to use 5052. Patches are on the bottom.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

5052 will weld to 5086 with 5356 alloy fillers and will work to patch holes, corrosion areas or other defects in the original hull.
