Patience on the hook.

My deck hands. I love the cleaning station. No more aching backs for me!

This is what she looks like at 46+mph. That sound I hear is fuel flowing! '' At least I can get frequent flyer miles.

My oldest helping head the shrimp.

A little sable fish. The kids (both the little ones and the big ones) like jigging for these while we are anchored up for the night. They cannot resist a silver buzz bomb.

Proud Dad.

Life is good!

Enjoying the sun.

Entertaining the little ones. Just an FYI, after several clockwise laps around the boats, switching directions does not help with the dizziness. But when the kids ask for one more lap what is a dad to do?

Simply outstanding!

You definitely are the "spoiled one" :)

BTW - what are your temperature ranges this time of year? We're just starting our North Texas "hot phase" - been in the lower 80's in the AM & upper 90's in the PM.

Daddy'O,

The temps were in the 40's at night and climbed to the low 60's in the sun. Water temps (47 degrees) are about 7 degrees below the average temps. Halibut are DEEP! Some of the north facing beaches still had snow to the beach. Spring is about two weeks behind. Life is good!

Temperatures are supposed to be in the upper 60's this week. I look forward to it!

Insulated crocs...I like that. You won't find my size 14 dawgs in a pair anytime soon, but the kids sure love them.

Hey Pete,

Great to see ya out with the wife, kids, dog working the traps for them shrimps. Kids will remember those days and so will you. Boat looks great running. I have had an unusually tough start to the season with engine issues which I have had none of. Five weekends of BS and all I can say is that god it happened all before the offshore season. I got two weeks to get the issues straightened out so I can go get the TUNAS!.

I saw the other aluminum boat you were harnessed up to, are they a member???

Now that is funny, Dave! I wish I had his bank account. It would make the weekend fillups much less painful.

Marty,

The other boat is the same hull as mine and no they are not members. He is not very computer savvy (pushing 70). We had a great trip. Thanks for the nice comments. Sorry to hear about your engine problems. I look forward to seeing some pictures.

I am still trying to dial in props and squeek the most economy out of those F 250's. Over all we are very happy with the boat. We are just short of time this season. Next year will be better.

Good luck all!

Great pictures ....... you are making memories for your kids that they will remember well into the future. I hope you are making multiple photo albums for them. I can only imagine the giggles and laughs doing laps around the boat........ the kids screaming "one more time"

I'll take a crate of shrimp and Marty's wife's recipe. Please

Heh heh Alloy Toy you are sounding alot like Daddy'O

When is your next hunting adventure????

Patience is paying off bigtime

Hunting is done out there until the fall. It is about time to chase some halibut. It would cost you a small fortune to Fed Ex some shrimp down, but if you ever make it up here, you can pull the heads of your own. They sure are tasty little critters.

I think I got Mike convinced on the 6HP Suzuki, pretty sweet to have both internal tank and the option to hook up external.

He won't regret it. Sweet little motor. Tested the new props tonight. They feel just right. Better than 1.5 mpg with 400 gallons of fuel me and the two little kiddoes. Launched/retrieved it solo with out issue.

Wonder what it would be if you left that front tank empty until you needed it. What blade, dia, pitch ended up being magic?

14.25x17 solas 4 blade. These props really lift her BACK SIDE up out of the water. Excellent feel. I will be running the front tank first today, so when that is close to empty, I will take some more numbers.
