We just got back from a nice fish dinner we didn't have to catch. It is our 20th anniversary! A good start. Yes, she has put up with me for over two decades now. When I was trying to make a decision about which boat to buy last year, she said "I'm tired of hearing about it. Just go ahead and order the damn thing." Don't you just love it? I think she's a keeper.

G'day Dave,
We were married in 1971 so the math is easy. My problem is that if I snuff it, Eva may try to sell Drumbeat for what I indicated it cost. She will have 100s of buyers on the doorstep.

Congratulations on making it to twenty. :D :D :D :D It is all gravy from here.
Regards,

Pete in Brisbane

Thanks Guys. It has been a good 20.

Mojo & S L Dave
I am looking at boats like the Fish-Rite Sea Wolf and the North River Seahawk OS. My wife loves the way Fish-Rite looks. We'll be going to the Seattle Boat Show in January and the Maine Boat Show in March. We will also be doing a lot of traveling to companies that don't go to the shows.

Thats funny......

I lasted a whopping 5 years, How I'll never know......."don't ever marry a an alcholic DRUNK".

I remember..."she had a great butt", that's was how....I lasted!

Since, Single and happy, and buy whatever I want.

Congrats 8).....not a BLM? For another Floridian?
Dave, I'll continue to be lonely I guess. Tom's north of me with one. He's a lonely owner too, I guess.

Not to forget the original thread, congrats for the 20 years; I'm working on 37 this December and the years really go by fast as you get older.

JettyWolf, it is a little lonely for North Florida BLM owners. Of course everyone knows your boat. I got a bucket of bycatch chum from a river shrimper in front of the house the other day. He said he liked my boat a lot and that he knew someone in Mayport with one that looked a lot like it. Of course it was you and I told him to tell you hello if he saw you.

too bad I've been all over your area looking for Mr. Poon with hundreds of pounds of chum.....and no poons. And barely any sharks.

Here's my only poon in 2008.......17 inches!

Yeah Tom, that was probably ole Sonny Ponce. Was he a little guy in a aged T-Craft or ole Stamas type cabin boat? He's my Horseheads Tarpon connection.

Sonny keeps his boat up on that bigger creek with the markers in Alligator, at a guys dock.

Sonny is a really good guy. Serious fisherman, with a long Mayport heritage.

Oppppps sorry about the HiJack. Don't mind me but I don't get to talk to a "a LOCAL Labber" very often.

See Dave??? I told ya I get lonesome. Get a BLM boat!!

Jetty,

I fished very hard 3 days this week and caught zip. One tarpon crushed a live mullet but didn't take it and only two small sharks. Two days at the north St. Mary's jetties around the shrimp boats. Birds everywhere on small glass minnow type bait but no spanish, blues or jacks.
Fished the HH reek at some sites I have had good luck at in the past and didn't catch a legal seabass although we caught probably a hundred under the 12 inches.

Dave needs to buy a BLM just to get our numbers up on the fishing front.

Have ya paid attention to the water temps?????

It's killed all the fishing. That's why I'm at the A-frame house, and Seymors pt. at alligator creek looking for poons.

Its was 84 degrees there yesterday, while going thru 50 pounds of chum.

Beach 74-76

should be 80-83

we need a storm and bad! Just short of Hurricane strength would be perfect.

Just got word tonight from a Blog reader of mine that the Pogs seem to be at American beach, up in NO water.

FYI to anyone.....

Have boat, truck and killer trailer. ALL licensing creditials up to 6 paqssengers, twics card, towing endorsement, and all the tackle one could need.

Willing to relocate to anywhere else but N.E. Florida, preferably NW pacific coast, of US or Canada, or Maine, for the duration between May 1 thru Oct. 31st. Very gregarious, and adaptable, and a cott is fine in a shed for lodging, just no mice, rats or bugs. Can work easily for Lodge, Camp, or Resort thru stated time frame, for food and minimal pay. I'm used to it. I have a sleeping bag, too.

Jetty, no pogeys on the beach at American Beach on Wednesday afternoon when I was there. Didn't find any big schools m-w but haven't been out since then. They are scattered out in the Amelia river but I never found any big schools to fish under
