LED Nav Lights

#1

Post by AlloyToy »

OK, made a quick night trip to Block Island over the weekend to search out some Striper's. Each time I've made this trip I've had some little quirk.......

Weeks back it was my Radar motor (Furuno) died. They replaced it N/C but a pain in the A_ _!!!

This weekend was the nav lights.........coming back and the lights die...........(bulbs). Replace the little bulbs and no issues..........yeah I keep spares on board but a PITA!

Anyone added or have LED Nav lights on your boat? Looking for good manufacturers of a good quality light.......

As far as fish Blues, Blues, Blues, and more blues...........everywhere we tried Blues!!! 5 lb blues 10 lb blues 12 lb blues.........

Thanks,
AT

I had the led nav lites on my cat. Loved 'em. Probably still going strong and they are much brighter too. Big investment up font. Don't get led replacement bulbs, get the complete molded unit that just has wires coming out. I think these are good - Innovative is the brand I think . . .

whay's da blues, Skippa?

Gawd knows we hate those pieces of crap here!
And maybe not, if they were of any size. A whopper here is maybe 4 #'s. I'll use them for cut bait for Redfish and Shark.

They are our "10 inch spring-time scourge fish"damn we have lots of scourge fish, I have to deal with. Thanks for making me thinking about them 6 months in advance, Alloy.

A scourge for you too, huh?

I thinks I have LEDS on my boat....and they work great. Along with my white all around light.

Installed Hella NaviLED Navigation Lamps, All Around Light, LED Mega Beam Flood Lights facing aft and EuroLED Red/White Touch Sensitive Interior LED Lamp inside the cabin.

Good Quality lights, sealed units, easy installation, low power draw, but high initial cost. Really happy with the EuroLED interior light. Can be turned on / dimmed both from the light or from a switch.

Yes that is all that is on my boat. The Shark Eye lights I changed the bulbs in to be LED's.

The All Around light is from http://www.innovativelight.com/all-roun ... c_1473.cfm

There prices have fallen a LOT since I bought it. This thing will freaking blind you if you look at it.

It's the 4in model

I contacted Innovative lighting the other day to buy another All round light that is in the pix above. They don't have anymore of them. They have a manufacture run of 1000 units and only sold 74 this last year. So they have now been taken off of their website.

I ordered this one for a customers boat.
