Very sad news today

#1

Post by Daddy'O »

All,

I have received horrible and shocking news from home. My faithful companion for the last 26+ years is gone. Her passing was unexpected and occurred sometime earlier today. I have endless memories of the nights we’ve spent together…(Sorry, I’m trying to hold back the tears as I type this)...It’s just such sad, sad news knowing I will never be able to be with her again. I was so looking forward to being with her tonight. She’s going to be impossible to replace.

But I guess Monday I will start looking.

Anyone have any ideas as to how much a new Lazy Boy recliner costs these days?

Thanks!
Wayne

Hey Wayne , we could give her a burial at Sea [ The pond ] like the ancients used to do. We have plenty of fire wood !

Then we could take the chair to the dump after the new one shows up.

Dang, that one almost had me...
BUT, I do know what you mean. I had my La-Z-Boy downstairs in the cavernous garage for a couple of years.. I really missed it a lot so had Mojo drag her upstairs and deposit her into the perfect spot, excellent angle for watching Tv. It is helping in my shoulder rehab too, footrest UP lever is on that side. LOL

Now, I know my blue baby is not as old as your was, 10 years or so, but she is oh so sweet to lounge in and getting better with age, and matches well with "The Evil Couch" (so comfortable that it takes very little time before you relax enough to fall asleep on it), Mark LOVES that couch... have no idea what would he would do without it?? Hmmmmm

I know exactly what you mean. This chair 'learned' to conform to.............well, me. Plus I can show you every stain & tell you a story as to how it happened. I rocked both my boys to sleep a many time in that chair. I also had a lot of fun in that chair......if you catch my drift. I will truly miss her.

Still looking for a replacement.

I apologize to all who may have thought my post in bad taste. I surely did not mean to scare or offend anyone. I was only trying to have some fun with a situation with an inanimate object which, really, as weird as it sounds, was as if it were someone I knew & loved for many years had passed on. (which I did).

Thanks,
Wayne

Photo's?................They're very graphic & detailed. This is a family oriented site. So I think it best not to post such horrible pictures here too soon. Give me your e-mail & I'll send some. I hope CSI of Texas & Lazy Boy INC doesn't care as well as we are still investigating the cause of .............well, the cause of the premature failure.

Let me know!

Wayne
