The Night Runner returned the bank yesterday, with a thousand other boats, targeting haddock. Filled the cooler by 10:00am cleaned fish until noon. Largest haddock measured just over 31", with the average size about 26". Caught in 120' - 160' on clams, small jigs and many on the teaser. The freezer is now full wt cod and haddock and it is time to play. Does anyone know where we can find the schooling stripers? How about the mackerel, are they around? Would like to take the flyrods out and have some fun.

Re: haddock on the bank
What the limits on them fish?
Haddak, pollak and Cad?
I guess it's still worth a long run for them. It's almost not worth the run for me to go offshore and target bottom fish. Since the limits are so strict, and I don't do it all the time. We can't drift around and catch much at all. Precision anchoring over a reef/wreck is what it takes here.
