Hey Capt Dave,
I just saw your video. Very nice.
What's that cigar looking thing above your weight? I'm thinking it's a scent tube.
Was your cameraman using a regular camcorder or a digital still camera?
Thanks, Scott

Scent tube.....That's the first time I heard that one as a guess.
No it's a "salmon stalker" Float, aka: a Trout Float in my parts.
I do what we call Float-rig fishing, as my specialty. A moveable stopper knot on the line, to control depth and display live shrimp over structure.
It's was just a digital camera, that I also use for pictures.
He's got a gimpy leg so in that one video he had to climb up on the front of my console and didn't know the camera was running...(motor cycle accident ruined his leg)

I think I've seen too many crazy techniques in some old Saltwater Sportsman magazines
Thanks for the education on what you do over there.
That's some pretty good video from a still camera
Keep 'em coming

It's okay......I get all kinds of guess's from people new to the area over here when they see those floats on all my rods. Indiana, Wisconsin, Nebraska etc. folks don't know what to think!
They use float's like I use in Washington rivers..."salmon stalkers"
my boats from Washington, I use all G. Loomis rods from Washington, and even the fishing technique is close to how they use the float's in Washington.
Go figure us rednecks in N.E. Florida north to N.C. fish the same way
Yeah, pretty damn good video from a small digital camera. Some decreased quality from the load up to Youtube, from camera to computer or disc, it was way clearer.
I love float-riggin!! With my floats and boat from Washington.
Here she is, first dunk, 20 minutes after delivery to my drive way.
Ahhhh, she looked so good back then.
Here's a Float-rig caught 10 POUND Sheepshead, my largest ever using the float.
