Does One Exist?

#1

Post by Shark Bait »

I have a friend in Washington who has a waaaay big plastic boat that is looking for an aluminum fishing boat to pull behind his big boat.

Requirements/desires are: Aluminum, about 20' in length, center console, area for a Porta Potty (Show stopper without the PP), single outboard, self bailing deck, set up for fishing/shrimping/crabing, the lighter the better. Any ideas?

How about a Klamath or Bayrunner? They are lighter than a Pacific or Work Skiff.
Spending my kids inheritance with them, one adventure at a time.

Call Kenny down at Trandwind 949-335-8909 tell him Les from Texas sent ya and you are a member of AAB he has a SWEET deal on the makings of a Klamath 19 . The head may have to be worked out .

For that water up there I would go more with a Pacific 2023HT and have them put the curtains on for a little privacy for a porta potty and to help keep the weather out when needed. Call Julie @ Pacific on that one , 888-658-7111

Spoiled One, has dealt with Kenny and Pacific is in Washington , both can Ship ANYWHERE.

I had to edit this....Kenny has a left over Pacific 2325 SUPER TOP , it has NOT been rigged yet . The super top has a head , Hard top and can have curtains installed. I'll see if I can find a Picture of one.

Here is a link to Pacific boats page with a 23 ST http://www.pacificboats.com/pacboats_022.php

I'd think any customizable 19-20 footer with a large console could be pee-pee bucket ready.

Didn't Chaps post a pic of a really roomy cabin'ish 19 footer not long ago. He sounded familiar with the builder.

Anyone ever ask Pacific to do a 20' Supertop? It has a pee bucket area built in. Just make the whole supertop think smaller, thats all.

Pacific wont do a Super Top on a 20, it starts on the 23.Not to mention ...the price difference between the 20 and the 23is not much , I would go with the 23 .

In a successful bizness the word "won't" usually won't cut it, if you wanty to stay sucessful.

I bet $$$ talked the walk when they cut the free board height down on the GSA boat.

Talk followed by "$$$$" = a 20' down sized supertop, I bet.

Pacific still producves customs right? Or they just cookie cuttering them.

Your missing my point......."just make one smaller to fit." A pee-pee bucket enclosure doesn't have to be a condo.
And you can save it all up and put it in the new Ford diesel truck for the ride home.

Here's a 19 with such a enclosure.......just make it higher and larger. Similar to the box on the front of my boat.

Just as I'd like a 19 tiller, with two seats like Seafoodman has in his 26, and a bench for my big butt to run the tiller.
If I had the cash and they "could make it to my specs" It would be in my driveway, already as the "Jettypup" boat. Or I'd move on to a Louisana boat welder that would build it.

Don't forget to have him look at the Raider, built in WA. They have the PP situation handled in a verity of ways, my 185 has a PP with a nice privacy curtain feature...you don't even know it is aboard until needed. I know they are not featuring self bail, but all boats are compromises! BTW, does he need a Captain for that WAAAAAYYYY BIG plastic? Capt PJ
