And you have to fill it. Most boats in Jay's size use about 60 to 100 gallons chasing tuna 40 to 50 miles out. The box is need to store them.

Jay Consider an AP on the mains and tied to the kicker and a electronic throttle control. The TR-1 is nice for trolling but the Simrad will do the same plus run the boat at speed. Mine has run my boat in the snot at Lapush. much stronger than the Raymarine S1000.

Different strokes for different folks. Fuel capacity is king up here. We do a lot of extended trips and very few day trips. For a day boat chasing tuna, the smaller tank and bigger fish hold makes sense, but for me and my "troutless" adventures, I will take the fuel. Shoot, I have three 135 gallon tanks. Great looking setup!

I had the Garmin GHC 10 on my Striper worked great for trolling but no throttle control your Simrad has throttle control ? what is the model number?

I rarely run all three tanks full, but is nice to have for the week long trips when we are after spring bears. I would rather have the extra capacity and not need it. Carrying extra fuel on deck is a pain.

Yeah Pete, those 700 mile weeks are nice but next year we might cut it down a little.

Jay
I have A Trollmaster Pro Troll 2 on the kicker to control it at the helm.
http://www.controllking.com/ here is another manufacture of kicker speed Control.

Mine has burned out two Servos. Why I don't know yet. In Oct I will send it in with the two servos I have on hand now. I made a new bracket and installed a new servo made RC aircraft. It is big with 230 in oz of force compared to the 135 that came stock.. When it works it is golden; infinite adjustment, set to idle to handle a fish and then hit Idle again and your back trolling at your set speed. Also has a momentary full throttle switch to help keep your lines straight in a turn.

ok you use the AP on your main motor to troll with the kicker does the main need to be running for the AP to work?

Sharkhide?
Might wanna ask them to clean out the bilge before delivery, last one I seen was full of shavings.

Check your threaded bilge plug, same boat listed above the plug wouldn't thread into the drain. I assumed they welded the drain in place without the plug in place and warped the drain.

Nice boat otherwise, they sure ride nice!

Oh she's a beauty plumbwolf  . Very jealous.

I think those Duckworths have taken the lead in the production aluminum pilothouses here in the PNW. They seem to have done their research quite well and took alot of great features of the North Rivers, the Weldcraft's (I know same company), and rolled them all into a great package that looks better than the other two as well. They are out front IMO and the others need to catch up.

Thanks for sharing the pictures. Keep them coming. It would be great to see her all rigged up with electronics and on the water.

Cheers,
John
