Years ago, I bought a lower from Essential Arms in Louisiana thru an FFL dealer. They are usually priced very competitively. It's as good a lower as any other manufacturer in my opinion (I own a few different lowers from other manufacturers) and I made a CAR-15 with a Quality Parts Company kit and have run thousands of rounds through it since I built it.

I just built a .458 SOCOM last winter with a Bushmaster lower. Fun gun and neat round.
