Thanks for the warm welcome! I am new to the Alloy boat thing, so i am open to suggestions. I am certain that i want a walk around model like the 5/6 or 7' model. If someone makes something similar I would love to see it. 360 deg fishability is a must! I would also entertain adding the cabin to a center console if the right used boat comes along.

you'll probably have to travel so save up them frequent flyer miles. They don't come around the East Coast all that much.

The last couple of years there have been a lot of boats that have been shipped from down South East to the Pacific North West. I will say that if one pops up on the radar don't mess around. contact them fast. Boats out here if priced right are sold rather quickly now a days. My two cents

Yes I have seen it. I wanted something a little easier 2 tow and a little better fuel economy. If they drop the price anymore I might have to rethink my plan!

That 29' Pacific was delivered to Yarmouth, ME at the same time my 26' was. Both of them were together there being rigged and outfitted. It's amazing how much bigger than my boat the 29' is. Awesome machine - I would never have expected it to be available at that price only 5 years later. It will be a great buy for someone.

That price isn't low enough? That is a screaming deal for that boat IMO but I can appreciate that it might not fit your needs, in that case price isn't the issue.

Ok help me understand. I thought these boats hold there value and are easy resale. What is wrong with this 29' boat that nobody wants it? Unfortunately I do alot of trailering and it seems this boat would be a difficult tow. Thanks for forwarding Dave!

I would guess the 29' falls into a small niche. Either too big for most, or too small for others. It's not easily trailered, which cuts down the potential buyer pool that much more.

I think its more of a upper middle class boat. Where the upper middle class is still in the crapper due to the economy.

I would love to retire with a 6pac charter license and something like that would be perfect.

Mainly, its a small interior layout & cabin for most buyers of that size boat and then in that part of the country alloy boats just don't have much of a following I suppose. As far as holding value . . . everything has been getting crushed in this economy. That said if it was back here where it came from it would not sit on the market long even if priced a bit higher.

If that monster is still there in few years I may pull the trigger on it. Not that far from my stomping grounds. It has been for sale for a few years now, So ya never know what $$ someone will take just to get rid of it.

Yeah, it is a head scratch-er. Chaps' answer is as good as I can think of.

I looked at a lot of alloy boats in the last 6 months, I have seen 29-32' boats with cabins going for 100-130k, listing prices have been $100 to $195. The high priced ones don't sell.

When hopefully my deal closes, I will post some info... But if it was one the west coast it would sell pretty quickly at that price.

You say if it was on the west coast it would sell. It should only cost about 5-6k to ship, so at this price cant imagine this would be the hold up? Whatever the reason its just a bit more boat than I need.

People want to touch and feel things before they buy them, plus they will need to arrange for a survey and sea trials. It could be two or three trips before a deal is done. I know it cost me about $2000 just go through the process in Victoria, BC. I have about 500 miles of driving, a mechanical survey and regular survey on a boat here in Washington. I had been previously been approved for a loan on the Victoria boat, but am having to jump through the hoops again on this Washington boat.

It sounds easy, and I am not complaining, getting away from work is always good.

But it has to be convenient for buyers. They don't have boat shows with finance applications sitting I the booths for no reason.

I don't think it is that screaming of deal though... There are similar or better deals...

I looked at the Pacific 29' when it first came up for sale, nice boat, fantastic electronics but bad layout due to the flat deck, the head is on the rear bench seat so you will be going with an audience. I thought about buying it removing the center cabin and making it an express, at least then you could have a V birth with a head in the middle and some privacy. I am also not sure why they went with 200hp Suzukis, I would think it is rated for at least 500hp probably 600hp.
