AMF 660 Vee Berth Cabin delivered a couple of weeks ago. A nice shot of the boat trimmed up and doing a full throttle run on a local lake.

Bevan,

Ya'll know that you could probably sell those Cutting boards / hydro-foil wings seperately over the internet to us Americanos and maybe our boats would go even faster.

Again that trailer is awesome, you make those from scratch?

Very nice......I'd like to see inside the cabin :joecool:

Have you ever built a center pilot house with bunks similar to the Sleeper Pacific now builds?

Why a 2 stroke on this boat? Still put a lot of 2 strokes on your boats?

Hi Guys
Thanks The first boat on the trailer was one of my earlier posts and I just added the recent action shot to the post. I liked the photo and thought I should share.

I have fitted a couple of HPDI's lately but really we tend to fit fourstrokes. The on water shot is four stroke powered boat but powered either way this model will do 48mph. We havent built a center Pilot house, interesting isnt it the different styles that are accepted or not accepted around the world.

I remember when we first made these boards no one had seen anything like it at a boat show, now they are everywhere in NZ, surley there must be suppliers in the US that are doing these?

Everything comes in as flat plate and cut with skill saws and planners etc, so the trailer was built from scratch, our Mt Maunganui yard does build a lot fo precut boats, and we are doing our first pre cut hull at the moment a AMF QRV 750 Rescue RIB Powered by 370hp Yanmar Diesel and a Hamilton 241 Jet.It will also have a sliding draw bar for Beach launching. So this is an exciting project.

Bevan, who makes that aft fish box???

Like the design, the chairs look a bit uncomfortable for my arse  Love the fish box, and would love to see the size of the cabin.

Did you do a windlass for the anchor? It appears to have limited walking gunnels to access the bow

Hi Alloytoy

The Ice bin is an Icey-Tek 185l They are great bins and the guys either use ice or coke bottles with frozen water and as bin fills with fish raise the frozen water bottles up through the fish.

The windlass we use is a Lewmar Pro Fish 1000 and is a free fall model. They have proven to reliable winches.

The pedestal seats we use are functional but certainly are not a comfy recliner :-) the handles moulded in are great for crew to have a hand hold and I find if I get a seat shell with wide arm rests it restricts the access between the pedestals too much. I also like to be able to swing a leg over the side of the shell rather than having to sit square in the seat all the time.

I guess access is to the bow is harder work than a walkaround but there is a good foot space around the screen and the tAMF targa top is robust a provides a positive hand hold. The access hatch is also a good size. Access to the bow on this model is certainly easier than a lot of competitive boats in NZ, and some have no access.

Thanks Marty

Alloy...you need to get out a bit more

There is so many companies either making or distributing cooler boxes like those these days it's rediculas, but good for us.

Competition, and ability to check prices.

I see them everywhere around here, because keeping ice in the heat is tough.

But, I buy just plain ole white igloos and chuck'em after they get beat to hell. I should get a few nicer ones like an Icey tek, or one of the other look-alikes. The "YETI" cooler is nice....we joke around here that it's a Jewish version of an Igloo.... :rotfl:

Alloy, here's one that padlocks, so no one steals those Sushi Grade Tuna steaks.

I'll be there with one of our sales guys from the morning of the first day till the end of the last day - Just the hard yards.
Not a corporate stand, a shared space with our only Melbourne dealer.

I was hoping to meet you. I'll track Brian down and have a chat.

I don't get out testing our local boats enough, only the prototypes which never look good in photos. I like that photo.

I'll stop filling up your 660 thread but I should ask...all you AABer's want Brian and I to get a heap of shots of Aussie and Kiwi alloy?

Hey Tim no worries on filling up the thread, it not mine, I don't own it its a forum!

I will let Brian know to look out for you.

I look forward to catching up some where some time, Ive noticed you popping up around the place in the social media facebook twitter etc.

Testing boats, unfortunately someone has to take the photos and videos so more and more I am finding my self standing on the moles and having less adventure in my life. But hey any time on the water is definite perk of the job right.

And it goes without saying that these guys would love to see more alloy. ;-)
