Finished my 2 racks of 4 targets, let the games begin.
2 each... 6", 8", 10", silhouettes = 8 pcs.
3/8" AR500 plate.
Just got back in from splattering 50rds on them , WOOOO HOOOO, they sound and dance very good.
Gun, Ruger SR1911 45acp
Reloads, 185grn SWC, 6 grn of win231 , Fed primers
For those that don't know, the SR is a full size 1911 A1 series 70 .45 ACP and they are FUN to shoot.

Ruger makes a 1911?
At our local range we've got a small group of guys from Cambodia that shoot high end 1911's at tiny targets and they are basically unbelievably accurate and consistent . . .

Not near as much rust as of last night, they were shot blasted.
The rust is do to the heat treating when the steel was made, there will be orange or red marking paint on them soon, it make them easier to get a sight picture on.
The big John Deere is Daddy'Os , mines the little one. I used Waynes for the front end loader to build up the back stop.

At least one can find .45 ammo here.....forget the target calibers though. I so wished I could return to the rural lifestyle as here in the 'burbs you can't shoot at all and the nearest indoor range is prohibitively expensive for just plinking.

Seems to me you need at least one fish steel to practice on, so you don't ruin to much cheek meat.

Our shot fish was bigger than your shot fish.
I need to see about getting some steel cut out like a halibut to practice on.
At least I got to go to Alaska and shoot something .... WOOOOO HOOOOO can't wait to do it again.
