Just bolted up a 60hp Mercury 4 stroke to one of our new work boats. Box said "Made in China". inspected by Jin Chen. What is the this country becoming?

That is depressing though in the case of Mercury outboards it might mean the quality will improve (couldn't resist, fond memories of shoulder injuries trying to get my old Mercs to start)

I thought TOHATSU was building their 4-stroke smaller motors?
They are Japanese. But that doesn't mean they don't farm it out to the worlds evil we have helped build.
