To answer some questions.

The fuel filter is outside the transom for safety so any fuel spills do not end up in the boat.

There is a kick out door in the transom. It is a requirements of the new TP1332 regulations in Canada even though we already had a 5" deck drain in the boat.

Sincerely
John

Very nice! How do they compare in weight? I assume lighter, but by how much?
Spending my kids inheritance with them, one adventure at a time.

The weight of out boats are comparable to a Grady but less than a Whaler.

I guess the Canadian economy isn't ruined?

Does that place accept application for boat/dish washers?

Grady's probably cost the same and last half the time.

Okay.....I'll be the one who takes the leap, "what the hell is a kick out door????"

Thank you for asking Jettywolf

Sorry everyone, the term kick out door hails back to my commercial fishing days. They where large sprung scupper doors that we use to kick unwanted fish out of.

In these boats if it swamps the kick out door in the transom opens to allow the water out. The door is 12"x 6". The door combined with the 5" drain for the self bailing deck provide 100sqin of drainage area. According to the ISO 11812 calculations the swamped boat will drain out in 53 seconds.

Sincerely
John

Oh Okay....we just call em BIG scuppers....or "the holes" on a shrimp boat, where they shovel all the bycatch over.

The goverment is mandating them?
