Mod 8 interceded in a thread with about a prototype Evinrude OB. Seems a pic from a hired source
shared it on THT and BRP called them out, along with other sites.
Subsequently, a June announcement is evidently coming about a new high HP OB
From BRP. Sorta wild to see such play out but how about a new &
Improved engine delivering 300+ HP with a 10-20% fuel efficiency gain?
Anyone read anything elsewhere?
Anybody got the scoop on the new E-TECH?

I get updates from all the mfg's and BRP has teased in its latest email that a big announcement is coming in June. Speculation is that they will unleash their new high HP engines.....

Re: Anybody got the scoop on the new E-TECH?
it is not exactly fresh news, but Evinrude recently announced the second generation of ETEC outboards. It is just the big ones for now--200 to 300hp. I would speculate that eventually the entire line will shift to Gen 2, unless the public rejects the Buck Rogers styling of the gen 2's. :-)
